My first in a 3 piece series called Japanese Queens. Inspired by teh song by Tigarah.

This one is Izanami(she wwho invites), godess of darkness and earth. She and her brother-husband where incharge of creating the earth. They were given a spear to help them, one that stirs the very cosmos. It is called Ame-no-Nuboko(spear of heavens). They made many islands and gods, but one day Izanami died giving birth to Kagu-Tsuchi(incarnation of fire). I zanagi traveled to Yomi, the underworld, to get her back. When he got there she spat out that it was too late, she had eaten the food of the underworld and could not leave. She asked to be left alone to embrace the world of Yomi but while she was sleeping Izanagi lit a comb like a torch to see her. Her corpse horrified him and he ran, Izanami screamed at being wolen up and sent demons after him. Izanagi sealed the entrance to the underworld with a stone-the first divorce.
