Description I have reposted the image of this painting after reading a comment on colour. Indeed it was not the best likeness of the painting. The original is better represented here and looks in life to be of pinks and grey with splashes of other colours. I am posting the other image, with lighting issues in my scraps in case anyone liked that lighting better.

Alas, "I be who I be" said a wise cat. And I relate.
This is me, even the flowers. I hope you like it.

Full View please!

Original watercolour with hand blended pulverized 24kt gold on 150lb coldpress paper. Measures 11 x 15 in.

Although I think it looks great, and don't like giving over-critical comments. I personally would of used more of the (Indian Red?) towards the bottom/right of the painting, and maybe some BIG rock salt for taste! But other than that... can I buy the original?
It's worth more than it's weight in gold!

Hi Gooberbrain! I have reposted the image. The colours are not perfect but the contrast and likeness are much more true to life. I am also submitting this for a print. The gold is much more obvious in the lighting of this capture as it some of the texture in the background. Let me know if you are still interesting in buying the original or if you might like a print instead. Kai

Wow! I am so flattered.

As for the colour...I have reposted a new image that is better likeness and truer to colour. I realized after reading your comment that the colours were indeed very off. As you can see, there is a bit more red and deeper tones throughout. As for selling it, I am exceptionally flattered that you would ask. And I shall think on it and let you know. Let me know if you still like it since the reposted image.

Love the flowers, especially the one that is growing out of the sky. The stems are so deliciously twisted.

I love that one too, a pretty little weird rebel. A flower who dared, or just got planted in the wrong place. the latter perhaps more true.

Got planted in the wrong place and made the best of it, eclipsing all the rest in the process. Yes, I like that!

Well done the flowers are not overtaking the whole image. I am really enjoying this one. It makes me sad in a way, makes me feel like crumbling down falling appart. It will take me a bit to comprehend this, will write something more meaningfull on one of days when i feel a bit less stressed.

Sandra...I swear you are my sister from another mother...
indeed I am feeling overwhelmed and a bit weary with grad school and the demands of an adult life. I try to be pretty, but there are so many forces all at once. All of my angst comes out in my work ...and you seem to see it all right away.

maybe we were in another lifetime who knows... anyhow dont try to be pretty you are pretty already, take life as it comes enjoying every moment no matter what it brings and let yourself go, frequently it is better to let the life carry you than you to try to swim against current...

I do try Sandra, but sometimes I feel it is fruitless. And that life lesson is one I feel I am learning everyday with little success in erasing my urge to do the opposite. Wise words you write...I am trying.

everyone does feel like that sometimes, more frequently than feeling fruitfull or productive or that you are on right track. the most important thing is to have faith and keep afloat, everything always works out in the end or so i keep comforting myself, everything happens when is right moment, just main thing is to know the difference between your wishes and wants, and when you keep struggling realise that it is best to float and let go, when you let go the good things happen.

I do believe in what you have said...and I know you are right. Proving myself to be capable of doing those things is another effort altogether, but one that shows a committment to self-improvement and awareness. Letting go is one I will achieve with more age. , but I will be wiser someday soon.
