Same here, looking at his behaviour, I wondering about his parents, if he fulfilled their expectations and was he the only one to preserve his family's bloodline. He was a nobleman, maybe belonged to an aristocratic family, but he visibly liked a way different lifestyle, wandering around Nosgoth seeking for adventures, sleeping in cheap inns, he surely chosen a different life from the aristocracy. I think he was already different from the average in his human life, as Guardians had something in their persons that made them special, and being chosen for their roles by birth, even if Kain's future role was a secret even to himself.

You gave him a definit air, it does show some of his arrogance in his face, but it's hidden by the mask of nobility.

I think he was quite arrogant already as human, but became that heartless when he became a vampire, and had to face a lot of hatred, that killed all humanity out of him.

You might even be able to drink thier blood too by pressing circle, but I never tried it. Even for the goof, I still like how we get to play out the assassination rather than sit through yet another movie.

I have no PS, but drinking their blood when Kain is still a human does not works on the pc-version.
Controlling Kain during the assasination scene is great, even if we know he must die to get the story continued. But I wouldn't mind a movie added either, thinking about a cruel one, as showing how Kain was cornered and put down in a nasty way as he did nothing to deserve it would make the players understand his later reactions and anger better.

Girl... amazing job as usual. I really liked how you gave him such a calm exterior kinda thing goin' on there. Like "meh, whatever." But he also looks kinda bored.

I don't think Kain was every truely satisfied with his life until after he came to terms with his vampire rebirth. He then knew he could really "let himself go" lol

For some reason, this makes me think he was a bully when he was a kid... But I'm just in love with everything you did here! Speculating on how Kain was as a human, based on how he was dressed, and how he acted at the inn, and in the painting of him you come across when you happen upon his mausoleum in Defiance, you did spectacularly well. Kain's always been depicted in red, hasn't he?

Nicely done. I knew you had a talent for costume design. Isn't it fun to design new stuff? I think you captured his personality quite well with this. And you used the same color scheme I did. Of course if you want to capture his personality then that's what you have to do. Putting him in blue or green wouldn't seem right, and pink would just be jacked up.

Yes, it was fun to make it. Sometimes I make random character designs, but I always feel them empty (I mean a random pose with some accessories on) but it's much more a fun to make a new design to already existing characters with keeping their personalities.
I remember you dressed his human self into red clothes too. I gave him an outfit to show he's a warrior and not a sissy aristocrat (even if not the best one when he was mortal) I think he always had his personality deep inside which becomes dominant after he was turned into a vampire. I was playing with the thought of painting his clothes deep blue, but red is his colour (he always worn something red in the two Blood Omens too), and wanted his figure catching the eye so decided not to paint his clothes into anything similar to the background.
Pink? Haha it's not only Kain who'd never wear pink, but everyone else who feels themselves a man. Pink is okay for little girls only.

I could give you lots of ideas for characters to redesign. I know what you're saying, just making up random characters that you never intend to use is not very fulfilling and it's kind of pointless. It is fun to do stuff with your original characters if you take the time to create a story and you plan on using them more than once.
For Kain the schemes that work best are red with gold highlights, or black with red highlights, or in some cases just black. You might be able to put him in a dark purple since that's the color for aristocracy but that would be kind of pushing it.
I wouldn't say he was not a good warrior, it's just that the game was rigged. Those guys never stopped coming and you had to let them kill you in order for the game to go on. If there was a limited number of guys attacking then I think I could have beat them all.
Yea pink is a gay color. It's hard to pull it off without coming across as either queer or color blind.

I'm not an author type, rather love to read good stories and go and thinking about them than trying to make up own stories and own characters. Whenever I made random fantasy women, it was fine to put them into interesting poses, and creating accessories to them, but they're quite thoughtless as there's nothing behind those works. I don't even use the randomly created annoying comic-females twice.
I like Kain as there's so much things about his personality, and also has a thoughtful story to be told in artworks.
Yep, red and black fits him the best, I like his BO2 costumes as he's always has something red on it, no matter if it's making him sticking out of the average citizens, as if he doesn't care about hiding his presence or trying to sneak, rather wants to directly face his enemies.
Purple is not his colour, but it'd work only as a reflection on his clothes if he's wearing black.
His human self fought way slower than his vampire self, that's why I think he wasn't as good as his his later incarnation in fighting (he had not too many moves in the oldie game to show how he can fight)
Haha Sillicon made it sure to get Kain killed.
I find guys in pink ridiculous and gay, the swollen-headed managers think pink shirts are "trendy", but it's even more funny to see guys in stretchy pink shirts trying to show their muscles (I wonder if that could amaze any women)

Well I am the author type, so you can be my assistant, or partner. Whichever you prefer. It is good practice for though, and your stuff usually turns out well.
Yea you can do a lot with Kain, and he does change his outfit a lot during the game so it's acceptable to tinker around with him. Of course even if he didn't change his outfit I would probably still redesign him.
Now that I think of it, I think I could probably do purple highlights on black with the human Kain, but it still wouldn't work on vampire Kain or ugly Kain.
Well the Vampire Kain is going to have whatever skills the Human Kain has plus the new Vampiric powers. He had just better not get caught out in the rain (which I think is retarded) or the sun. In BO2 you get whatever abilities your enemies had once you suck them dry, so by the end of the game you're pretty powerful. They ought to make a BO3, of course if they do it will be a long time before I can afford it, if ever.
Haha, now I wonder what's going on in your country. It might be worth a visit just to go over there and see all the weird stuff (if I can ever afford it). I went to Spain once and got to see all sorts of weirdness. Once I was standing near a street in Madrid, and this punked out chic with purple hair, tattoos, and piercings came up and stuck a brochure for a tattoo shop or something in my hand and walked off without a word. I still don't know why she did that. Then there was all that stuff going on in the Retiro... Anyways, that sounds gay, and pink is the wrong color for that. If I want to show off my physique I wear a tight black shirt. That's the way to do it because it makes you look more impressive than you really are.
