Nothing really. He was passing through Bunnyburrow and was profiled since he was a fox. They didn't like his looks and locked him up on trumped up charges. A great AU story where he meets Judy while working the on the chain-gang being used as prison labour to help harvest the crops of the farmers.

Actually, that's the story thread that came to my mind when I saw the art of EmberLarelle276 . I haven't written it but I think it would make a nice AU for Nick and Judy to meet. "Drifter" is the title of the art.
