Description Phew! FINALLY was able to get some time to get a request done. ^.^ Took FOREVER to get that done too. Sorry for the LONG wait, but here is the request for She asked if I could make a picture of Shadow and Maria...Can't remember exactly anymore. Basically that's all she said....so I got creative with it. Here, we have Shadow floating....in white space. I was too lazy to make anything, plus it'd take away from the focus point. But behind him, is the ghost of his beloved Maria. She is watching over him, like his Guardian Angel. ^.^ I tried to make her look faded out, like she was not really there. Hopefully I got that image right. Shading very lightly is HARD.

P.S. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE WITHOUT PERMISSION!!!!! Or I will hunt you down and you.

Thank you. I'm a bird-lover, so I studied the structure of bird's wings and vwala! I made this style of 'fluffy' feathered wings.

I wish i was a good drawer, all i can really do is trace something, edit it to my liking and claim that i made it XD Yeah but i stopped that a long time ago, my sis can look at something and copy it so perfectly you cant tell the difference. Makes me very....depressed

I can't do that. I have to have something to look at to help me with proportions. Heck! I can't even draw a straight line or any of the other basic shapes. And I bet you could draw real good. Like I always say..."If ya have the will and determination to stick with it and practice, then you can draw as great as you want to."

True, i can draw some things really nicely if i have the proper motivation. The thing is i can imagen what i want, but i cant put it on paper that well, so if i dont have a good image, the drawing is gonna suck bad XD

That's exactly how I am. If I have something to 'guide' me, I can make awesome pics. But if I just grab a pencil and paper and draw....*shudders*

Another thing is that if i dont have a rival i cant draw very good. Thats why i go on Deviant. So i can see that other people are better then me so i can motivate myself into drawing something awsum with a little insperation

Yeah. There's not many people up at my college don't draw for fun like me, it's all 'workworkwork'....blah! At least on DA, I can draw inspiration and ideas on how to better my artwork....while gaining friends at the same time.

It's nice that DA was set up, now all artlovers can apresiate great drawings and make friends with other people. It's the whole reason i made this acount, wish i could post some of my drawings or stories but i my scanner is retarded and will work for my older sister but not me XD

Yeah. Like I joke around and say...it's like a myspace for artist, writers, and photographers. Tis about the same for me. Hmm...Have ya tried just takin a pic of them and uploading it that way? With like a camera, or your webcam (if ya have one). Or maybe use a scanner at school? Sorry, just trying to name some ways ya could try.

Problems are: I hardly have the free time to scan them at school (Cursed workoverload) and i dont have a camara. When i tried to use my sis...well she almost bit my head off *Sweatdrop* Webcam i wish XD, i dont even have a laptop yet since my mom wants me to buy it with my own money, and well i kinda see some nice things and well...buy them XD

I know what ya mean. My first comp was a hand-me-down from my dad. The one I'm currently using I bought with my own money. What about a phone? These now-a-day cell phones have bluetooth and can either transfer pics to a computer or even straight to a site if it supports it. I'm about the same when it comes to impulsively buying 'shiny' things. But I had decided I wanted a comp more than a hard drive, or tablet, or a new game...or any of the other awesome stuff. So I sucked it up and saved 500 dollars and got me a new comp. And at that moment it was soo totally worth the wait and 'sacrifices'.

Nope, my mom dont trust me with a cellphone *Sweatdrop* she's worried about the phone bill, it's already high since my sis talks for like 2 hours with her boyfriend John XD Every time he comes over i give him what other people call the look of death, if looks could kill many people would be dead right now XD

Ouch...That's gotta suck. Least you don't got one. I got the crappiest, oldest, p.o.s. phone in my family cuz I don't gripe and whine for a new one like my lil bro and sis. Spoiled brats. I got an old Razor while my siblings got touch screen phones!!! Least you only got one to give the look....my lil sis has like a new bf every week!.

Man *Sweatdrop* Talk about odd, whats even more odd is that i never had a bf ever *angry face* I dont even think any guys like me...or wait, umm scratch that i dont really care much about bf's and all that stuff, back at my grade 4 school, guys were like a fasion exessory or something, if you didn't have a boyfriend you weren't 'Cool' people still though i was weird even though i had like 5 guys who were my friends and about 2 of which i had crushes on XD

About the same with me. I never really could get along with other girls. I was a modest tomboy most of my life who didn't care about anything other than school and my art. It took me goin to college to find my bf, now fiance. Incidentally it was in our graphics class that we met.

I love deviant art, it have Pics and drawings of all my fav characters from books and anime. For some reason my sis thinks im weird because i always draw fanart of my fav characters whom are heartless and gloomy (Like me XD) For example just now i drew a rough scetch of Shadow, one half devil other half super shadow with angle wings. As the artist whom drew it i can easily pick out things i did wrong or could do better, it's my nature

Ah, I figured it'd do that. I haven't figured out how to get a faded look with color pencils yet. So it's alright. ^.^ Thanks, I worked hard to get them to look right. ^.^ And they can be, just keep practicing and trying out different styles to see which one works better. ^-^ You'll get it, I believe in you. ^-^

try thick outlining and then VERY light shading. it usually works for me. thanks for the tip trade.

Aww....thankies. It took me many years (and studying the wings of my chickens. ) to get the right wing style I liked. ^.^ I worked hard to get this pic as close to how I imagined it. Just wish Maria would've turned out faded like I wanted. Oh well, it's good as is. ^-^
