A fan art of Dekar, 19 year old candidate for Anti-Christ, done for deviantART member Bobbin’s April-May contest.

This is my first attempt at cel type coloring and although I’m not very familiar with doing shading this way, I am happy with the results. In fact, I don’t usually draw in this style. I went for a D.N.Angel feel this time because Dekar reminds me of Dark. Rather enjoyed the CGing process with this picture; the cel art style let me play around with colors more effectively.

I took my time:
Day 1, drew Dekar in rough, itching to add color already but resisting until I got the outline *just* right, THEN added base colors.
Day 2, experimented with different shading, light and dark. Added a background before Photoshop shut down on me. Note to self: Not saving for an entire day means every change lost. Thankfully, I remembered what the heck I wanted.
Day 3, Yay, look at the pretty halo... Drool at the abs... Serpent cross, mm...
