Description
M-346 is multirole training and attack aircraft. It was acquired by Germany to replace Alpha Jets that weren't destroyed in previous years. It received similar capabilities to FA version while still retaining capabilities of training aircraft. First aircraft was delivered in August 2026 while another 31 until 2029. Another aircraft were ordered from 2031 onwards. They were extensively used during Polish Border Conflict by Luftwaffe and Polish Air Force due to lack of dedicated multirole aircraft and intensity of fights. Similar tactic was used by Eastern Poland and Russia with their Yak-130s and -131s. In following years a new version for carrier training was developed called M-346NFAT which was equipped with strengthened landing gear and cable hook. In total Luftwaffe bought 74 M-346s for Luftwaffe and 36 for Kriegsmarine. At the end of Second Spanish Civil War they were also used for COIN missions and drone interception missions.

Presented M-346FAT belongs to Fliegerausbildungsgeschwader 15 and have tactical number "039". This plane was extensively used during Polish Border Conflict for both CAS and CAP missions. It was lost over Easter Poland during dogfight with Russian Yak-130. Only pilot survived and was taken into captivity by EPF troops.
