Awwww!!!! Β He is soooo cute. Β Look at his little smile. Β It says, "I am going to eat you and you don't know when."
Kinda intimidating to have one standing in front of you right?

Oh the show was awesome. It would have been amazing if they'd had one of them at the mall near me to promote it. I would have loved it!
Very well done by the way!

They were going to have the baby t-rex there but they must have had a problem with it because the utahraptor was there instead and they said that the baby t-rex was grounded by it's mum.

How'd you manage to take the legs out without disturbing the image? You used Photoshop, didn't you? Hm...I'm thinking you took a picture of the Utahraptor when it was there, then took another picture of the same scene when the Utahraptor had moved...just a guess, though. Then it would simply be a manner of placing the Utahraptor layer above the other, aligning them properly, and masking. I hope I said that right...I wonder, am I right? Or did you paint everything back in after masking out the legs? The Clone Stamp, perhaps? I'm very curious as to how you pulled this off! ^^'

I only had the one image.
The way you suggested would be a good way to go about it if you pre planned to alter the image though.
I mostly used the clone tool, with a little bit of the patch tool thrown in for the leg. All the parts where the person was in front of part of the dinosaur or floor, I took small parts of the dinosaur and floor from the rest of the image, being careful to blend it with what is already there, and trying to use a variety of sources for the new part, so it's not obvious that it is repeated.
You can see the patch part on the inside of the thigh. I think I built it up with the clone tool first for the basic colour, then used the patch tool a few times, using parts of it's belly as the source, so you can see the leg has some stripe patterning in common with the belly.
I don't really have a step by step process - just messing around with the clone tool a lot. The clone tool is fun

It was amazing!
I wish I had of remembered I could set my video recording on my camera to a higher quality though. I hardly ever use the video part on it but after that I played around with it a bit and found I could get quality that comes up heaps better than what it was set on before.

I know that feeling. I only recently discovered the video side of my digital camera, and I like using it, lol.

Did you ever consider that they designed the costumes with the actors legs sticking through so kids would know they weren't real (and not be frightened)?

That's a pretty impressive edit job. Very nice. The only thing I notice is that you can still see the persons shadow a little bit. Maybe if you closed up the shadow a little near the left leg...
