Hi!I just picked up my pencils and started to fix my old drawing. I know that fixing old drawing is lil doubtful but fortunately I have photos of that old drawing and I can use them when I study my progress as an artist. I liked the earlier version but when I looked it closer I saw that quality wasn´t smooth enough and I had missed middle tones pretty badly. I have drawn this drawing on Canson Bristol Smooth (I haven´t much experience of that paper) and I think that this paper is really hard concerning dark tones. There wasn´t background drawn on that old drawing and I wanted to draw it at the same time. Now I´m more satisfied with those things.

derwent pencils are great but staedler lumograph are better in my opinion. What a great drawing. I like hw the rings turned out . How much time took to finish that?

Really very well done rendition. Your use of pencil throughout all your works is extremely sensitive and its light touch creates some lovely results. Hands in particular are extremely difficult to get just right. Your rendering of them is quite beautiful.

this is fantastic
the manner in which you portrayed the skin is excellent. you have blended it perfectly & I like how the image appears very clean with no apparent pencil strokes that a lot of pencil drawings sometimes get, you obvioulsy have a great understanding of graphite.
i have seen many many photoreal images both in paint and drawings and this as good as any.

That's insane!! I saw this kind of realistic drawings on J.D.Hillberry 's site and I must admit you are even better! The cast shadow and the background really add more realism and three-dimensionality. The details in the hands' texture is really amazing. I wish I could be so perfect in my drawings.. that's a real motivation to me.
It's a stunning piece, and I would really appreciate if someday we could talk about techniques on MSN or via email.
You should really need to have a site and give much more exposure to your art, I am sure I would also by a book if you ever wrote it

Very nice piece. I like the different texture of the lady's skin compared to the man's. Also the contrast of the metalic rings is excellent. One question, what pencil did you use for the deep shadows?
