Sadly I did not get a good photo before I glued it on, now the shield covers up the name scroll 'Vellios', and I have a potato for a phone so this is the best I could do sadly i.imgur.com/Cdc47hG.jpg but I used the Commander shoulderpad with the scroll and raised circle, and cut off the upper portion of the deathwatch shoulderpad to give it a more ornate appeal/balance out the champion shoulderpad with the raised plate.  Circle is painting silver, with the icon centered atop a green wreath, all free hand.  Honestly this was the culmination of my work I'm just bummed I haven't done anything in over a year since!  This year I'm kicking my ass to get my command squad finished, but I'll be sure to take better/more final process photos too.  Thanks for the support!

Thanks!  I like earthtones, and I rarely see many of them used in Space Marines.  I guess brown doesn't inspire much for giant killing machines.  I have no idea what the new colors are with the new paint range GW released like over a year ago or so!

Your Space Marine looks a bit like the Dark Angels Terminators, that are eartly toned, but more to a bone white...

I think the answer lies in the fact that Astartes like to show themselves, they usually have bright colors to be very visible and inspire fear in their enemies... I read about it in a Horus Heresy novel, but don't remember which one...

But your colors looks awesome, even more for a more tactical, desert fighting, chapter...
