Very nice! I like him ^^

Nice idea with the double blade. How many models are used to create him?

Actually it was a kitbash back from the 2005 California Gamesday back when GW was more invested in the West Coast.Β  So probably 2 command squad box sets just to get a second sword.Β  Still have the conversion contest trophy to boot!Β  I had plans for another one but never got around to it.

I wws afraid of that answer, it took two command squads?

If I'm not mistaken you can still buy bits online like ebay, you could give that a go!

Unfortunatly i am not that good in converting things

I better stay at the "basic kits" and do a good paintjob

Kit bashing is the thing I love most about GW's marines!Β  I swear you can do so much with the lovely basic kits as is, just keep a bits box and you'll be surprised by the awesome models that can emerge from it!Β  I used to hate painting, but I force myself to do it before buying any more kits... that being said though, I have about 50 various models in misc states of being built and none of which are even primed... T-T

Well, i once did a conversion, i was quite pleased with it, but i donΒ΄t really like the effort.Β

Dynamic poses, yes. Magnets in the models, yes. Adding small details from the sprue (bags etc.), yes. But big conversions... meh

Take a look at my captain i made, some details from a Droppod, a doubleheaded poweraxe and a self made stormshield, my only conversion i did ^^Β

I think i will stick to the painting thing
