So, just a quick warmup to start the day. Really getting into the digital drawing/inking thing, love how intuitive it is. Been working with a workflow of going from concept sketch to finished "inks", bypassing the "pencil" phase. Since it's digital, I can still try different things and experiment without full commitment as I can with pencils, but the end outcome is sharp, black, colorist ready art, nifty!Oh and for the record, if you're NOT reading Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps and Blackest Night, we unfortunately can't be friends

This looks awesome! I just started getting into the new Green Lantern comics, and am hunting down the trades.

To digitally ink this, did you use Illustrator, something else, or a combination of different stuff? Right now, I'm without an inker, so I have to do it myself with Illustrator and I'd like to know how to get somewhere closer to how good you are!

that green lantern is freakin' tight! (by 'tight' i mean the inks, not the slang for good... which it very much is, BTW. good, i mean.), the lines are crisp and don't feel digital at all.
(i'm trying to dip into digital myself, and i was wondering what software you used for this?)

Thanks man, yeah a lot of times I like seeing the lines more as well. Nic's got a killer talent and literally turned the colors around like 30 minutes after I posted lol, guy is insane.

Ever since you've gone digital, you've stepped it up a huge notch. And the thing that's nice, is that the inks look fresh and alive, and not stale like some digital work sometimes can get. Huge props man!

Hahahahah, naw man, I'm kiddin. I just REALLY dig what all those creative teams are so consitently pulling off month by month. It's a real inspiration in creativity as well as productivity. The MINUTE you can get your hands on the series or the TPB (when it hits), I recommend it highly. In conclusion, we're friends amigo

What did you use to digital ink. I tried ps cs3 and another with no success on the outcome.

Manga Studio. It's a weird name, but the program is incredible. Well, the brushes and stuff are. I can't vouch for much else besides the average lineart capabilities. The other big tool is my wacom cintiq.
