Description
Sandshrew are commen little pengolins that live mainly in dry sandy areas.They are well known for their tunneling caperbilities and can make enormous tunnel systems that stretch for miles.
In some quarries sandshrew are cursed as they can cause large mudslides when their digging weakens the walls of the quarry.
They have strong hides which protects their soft underbelly when under pressure underground and to save them from predators. They can roll up into a hardened ball (around the size of a basketball) and roll at high speeds to get away from danger or even to attack.
They genrally eat insects and have a long tounge to scoop up ants with. occationally youll see termite mounts filled with holes where sandshrew have dug into them.

Wow, you know what i love about these, not just the awesome drawings but they way you narrate in the present, most people that i have read their descriptions always use past tense, as if Pokemon once did live but are now extinct........ Also on an unrelated subject, in my Pokemon story the main characters Pokemon is a Sandshrew... with anger issues and is nearly always asleep.

Wait, sandshrew's a rodent? Looks more like an armadillo to me... I dunno if you were just taking the whole "mouse" classification seriously or what (and that'd make little sense, considering you made pikachu, who could be a rodent, into more of a lagomorph).

I checked, the pangolin ain't no rodent. It's in a class by itself.
Look at its mouth, and you won't see any bucked rat teeth in there. It's built for ant catching.
