I love this place...went to Cade's Cove many times as a kid...I now live in the Idaho Smoky Mountains, which is where a bunch of settlers from the south came to mine in the late 19th century...Atlanta, Idaho is only 30 miles from here...

Our mountains are bigger, steeper & rockier, but yes...beauty-wise they are similar...I hike often since I hunt with camera, gun & fishing rod..

Cades Cove is incredibly beautiful. It is understandable that a place gets boring after a while, but I go there maybe two times per year. While my father, mother, and siblings get tired of it after a whole day of going around the loop, I never get tired of it.
