Do we have confirmation on whether or not Kim croaked yet? suppose it dos'nt matter their just gonna replace him with Sister Skullface anyway.

still i saw some photo of the norcs parading him around like it was K-nazee Weekend at Bernie's or something, and if he was actually dead and not just zonk'd because hes still recovering from the heart surgery it'd be good for a laugh.

well it is disappointing, basically the only good thing I can say about him at this point is that he don't apologise and of course that the rabid left hates him, and seeing how they are basically pure evil, whatever they hate can't be all bad.

The system is designed that way. Without proportional representation it is impossible for any bottom-up grassroot movement to change things save for armed revolution.

But thou art correct, which is kind of sad, every modern president seems to start at least two wars and double the national debt. Last months I saw pictures of soldiers stationed in Afghanistan who wasn't even born when the conflict began.

Sadly, yeah, but his decision could have been a little more formatted.
And your pretty right- our country is all over the place with this war and,
in the end, we just want it to be over someday...

Luckily it is not my country, but I am still affected by it, everyone is, because the US is the empire.

I don't know if thou realise this, there is a lot of arrogance it.

I could put "evil" in front of empire but that is just pleonasm.

I like the old Nietzsche quote:

Beware that when you fight monsters that you yourselves do not become a monster, because when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

Imagine for a second, what would have happened if America had not started down its imperial path.

I made a map www.deviantart.com/rphb/art/No… of the likely consequences for Europe, if there had never been a president Wilson.

dragoliched In reply to rphb [2020-01-16 20:08:13 +0000 UTC]

Didn't Theodore Roosevelt also run against Wilson. I think he would be a better choice than Taft to win. I mean Taft would have probably won if Teddy hadn't ran as a third party, but anyone would be better than Wilson.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

rphb In reply to dragoliched [2020-01-16 21:14:37 +0000 UTC]

In the map I have made depicting a central victory, which might require a little update, the central premise is that Teddy didn't run, he could have died for instance.

It is not a big alternative historical assumption that someone did not do something. The point was to imagine what a central victory would have looked like and how it could have been archived.

Not only did Wilson's entry into the war tip the balance in what had otherwise become a stalemate, but it was also his infamous bribe to the provisional government established after the February Revolution that made the October Revolution possible.

The people in Russia wanted peace, that is why they deposed the Tsar, so when the new republic insisted on continuing the war, the extremely radical Lenin got his chance.

This created the worst possible outcome for the war.

The other alternative, that Teddy wins, results in an early American entry into the war. With full American mobilisation from the fall of 1914, the German war machine would not last two years, certainly not long enough for the Tsar to be deposed, and unlike Hitler, the German central command of world war one was not crazy, things were right up in the air right until the end who would win that war.

With an early American entry the war quickly becomes one sided, knowing they can't win Germany would sue for peace, and because the war would have ended earlier, possibly the summer of 1916, it would not have become so embittered, the peace would not have been so draconian.

But that is the "beauty" of Wilson, he is the middle of the road. He was neither a man of peace like Taft, nor a man of war like Teddy, he combined the worst of both world, in a truly rotten cesspool of misery whose after-effects we are still struggling with today.

And the worst part of Wilson is that he set a new precedent. Forget about the Monroe doctrine, America exist to "make the world safe for democracy" a term so vague and ill defined that it can mean just about anything its utterrer feels like.

Any war can be justified by pointing at any small or obscure dictator and say: he is the next Hitler, they have just forgotten to look in the mirror. America have long since become a fascist state.

Fascism, for these who don't know, as the term have been used so loosely, is the melting together of corporate and governmental interest, it is also called national-socialism and as the name implies is a form of socialism (meaning left wing) that have the nation, or more specifically the state, as its locus.

It is the subjugations of all interest to one interest, the interest of the state. Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state. As famous American fascist says: Children belong to the community, fascist will not recognise anything as not being the affair of the state.

There are currently two fascist parties in America. They are known as the Democratic and the Republican party. They basically believe in the same thing, like with the war in George Orwell's novel 1984 there is serious doubt as to whether it actually exist.

TDS (Trump Derangement syndrome), currently affect two political groups, these who hate him, and these who love him unconditionally.

That is another aspect of fascism. The worship of the great leader, and the two minutes of hate against his enemies.

The American brand of fascism have just created a false dichotomy within the state, so that there is not only always someone to hate and love, but also gives the illusion of choice, and just as importantly, to make the common citizen complicit in the crime, which they are every time they vote.

"if voting made any difference they wouldn't make us do it"

Dude, that definition is about as bad as it gets.

Try to read some of the writing of fascism spiritual founder, Giovanni Gentile, or look at what famous fascist Dictator Benito Mussolini said.

Or if thou art too lazy for that, thou can just try to read that comment that thou art literally responding too right now.

Fascism is a special form of socialism where state and corporate interest are intertwined. But nothing sums fascism up better than Mussulini's quote: Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.

lol doth thou honestly believe that, that Marrian Webster is an authority in itself?

Look they don't define words, they describe them, and when it comes to more complex words like a political ideology, they tend to fall short. I haven't looked up National-socialism in them either, but I am sure they omit to mention that it is a left wing extremist movement akin to communism.

A lot of people makes that mistake, that it is left wing.

lol, I guess I have to try and get my money back from my masters degree in philosophy, because all I had to do to understand complex concepts such as an entire country's political system, was to look it up in the dictionary.

Mussolini also didn't know what Fascism meant apparently, despite him being a self proclaimed fascist dictator.

That by the way was sarcasm, because honestly can't thou hear how dumb thou sound right now?
