A quick shot taken before recording some drums in Academy Studios, late June to early July ...I was listening a lot to 'Glorious Fool' by John Martyn at the time and I took the backs off of my toms to try and get that concert tom bark like Phil Collins' early 80's drum sound

Just opended the curtains and set everything to "auto" on my little digital camera, then mucked about with the contrast etc on Paint.NET

I take the backs of to get a concert tom bark from 'em too
This is the drum sound I wanted, the tight bark from Phil Collins' Gretch concert toms
