quick question, i realize it says Iberian breeds only, totally fine with that, but could I breed another Mustang mare to him? I dont know what your take on it is...

Yep, mustangs descend from Iberian stock so that is alright.

I love the color and the pose. Fantastic work.

Just a quick question/comment/musing though. Buckskins don't have leg barring - that's a dun characteristic. So if this horse has cream (for buckskin) and dun (with the leg barring) he'd be a dunskin... right?

Beautiful either way!

Nope, you're right. When I was doing him tho, I was breaking down the base color, and the patterns. Guess dun isn't so much a pattern as a dilution, but at the time that's how I wrote him up.

Wow, great pose-I can what you mean about it being a Friesian reference, very nice! I think I've actually seen the picture before
One thing I can't help but notice is your knowledge for horse genetics I personally can't get enough of it D so I'm juyst wondering if you could point me out to some good websites or links, or something.
Also, speaking of which, I loooove his colours, I have always loved painted dunskins

I wish I could find that picture as well. It was a renaissance photo. I thought I had it in my photobucket account, but the link that I posted got deleted in one of my journals so now I don't know where it is. If you find it, let me know.

As for genetic Sites, check out the genetics link in my journal.

It's a beautiful pose! There was this fresian horse that inspired it. The link is in my journal to his picture, I unfortunately don't remember where I got it from.

I have about 33 notes and 10 messages to wade through about stables, its going to take me quite some time to update. Forgive my slowness as it is only me running this game and ive not always got spare time to get to the computer

Sorry for the lack of comments, I've been enjoying seeing the lovely funky colored ponies you've been coming out with! So for this is the only one that's bothered me. In horses I've only ever seen three white feet on a tobiano, though I have seen a few ponies with less. Other than that I love it ^^ And I am damn envious of your lineart...do you use the pen tool? Or something else?

JNFerrigno In reply to WSTopDeck [2008-04-07 04:52:50 +0000 UTC]

Actually, your completely right about the white legs. I didn't even notice that when I was drawing. And for him to have sabino as well, LOL looks like I have to change that. And I use a tablet at this time. Thank gods for that. I used to do my old work with out a tablet XD.

Yay for tablets! But how do you make your lines so smooth? Mine are always wiggly XD

I've heard of it but I haven't used it, maybe it eliminates some of the shake? How do you get it, buy it or can it be downloaded?

A friend gave me a copy. You can download a trial version for like 30 days online. See if you like it.
