Description An amature astronomer, living in a colony on one of the moons of his home world, looks into the night sky with his telescope only to see one of their other moons being struck by what looks to be some kind of weapon. As he stands there watching the destruction of something that has been there his entire life, thoughts begin screaming in his mind. The thought that is screaming the loudest is, "If this is an attack, how much longer do we have?"

Just something quick I put together. I had an idea for a little story and decided to give it a try. I only spent about an hour and a half on this one so it's far from perfect but I think it's still fun. I hope you all enjoy.

I love the idea of this - and the subjective point-of-view through the telescope really makes it feel real.
I found myself wondering "What if I saw something strike the moon? Something that was clearly not a natural phenomenon?"
Very cool!

This is just.. one of a kind image. Sure there could be more details etc. But somehow i enjoy this image a lot. It's close to ? ABSTRACT ?.. or so. The small window just makes this image so horrifying. Think about it. You are floating on space, on a little space ship [Or sumthn], and then when you look out from that small window, you see a meteor crashing to a planet, or even worse, on earth. *hrr* chills...

My English sucks Donkey Bawls but my point is : Lovely image !

lol.. thank you Joni! It was kind of meant to be a little short on detail. I wanted to story to stand out and I didn't have much time to spend on it. I only spent a little over an hour on it so I know it's not perfect and I'm ok with that!

Thanks again my friend.

Very cool. It makes me think of Ogilvy the astronomer from War of the Worlds, watching the green flashes from Mars. Interesting story, too..

Great idea and presentation. But both the window and the planet looks blurry, and its impossible for a lens to do that, I suggest getting one of them more sharp.

I understand what you're saying, and thank you for the comment. However, it's not a window. I also made the planet sharp, but for some reason it didn't look right. I was trying to get this done in a hurry, just to see what I could do so there are some detail mistakes in there. Anyway, thank you for your comment!
