I like how u mix bullhorns and propaganda with dark dystopian world's. The werewolf car, this guy and some other character concepts have this shove-it-down-your-throat zealot theme. It always makes them more scary.

Coming from you this is high praise indeed! This guy doesn't appear in a literal hell but a dystopian futureworld whose inhabitants will be revealed in a medieval-style bestiary. I find the fusion of technology and superstition both frightening and fascinating. The detailed subjects on plain parchment backgrounds are a tribute to the style you've mastered.

I've admired this piece for a long time, primarily for its fascinating design and masterful execution (it shows a major improvement in your human-anatomical skills since I first started following your work, plus the overall detailing and coloring is superb). On top of this, the concept of old-meets-new with religious zealotry and advanced cybernetics spawning an entirely more bizarre and more terrible array of occult practices is always a joy to ponder.

Thanks! I find the idea of technology being used to further barbarism both disturbing and intriguing. We've seen it in our own world, but I've taken the concept further, as with my earlier "Iron Martyr" piece. I personally think both it and "Schismatic" transcend genre illustration and make a valid social commentary.
I haven't spent as much time on the "Necromechanics" series as I should, but I've got some recent concept sketches that will lead to greater things.

Keith Thompson's been a big influence since 2007. This is very apparent in these character concepts - I might as well take my cues from the best.
I've spent the last month working on a new series of post-apocalyptic characters, but most will get detailed backgrounds as well. I'll be aiming for a harder sci fi feel (ie more emphasis on science) while adding weirder stuff like this to the Necromechanics gallery.
