Description
The date is December 11, 1969. A young soldier, fresh out of boot camp, takes his first steps down from a chopper and into the jungles of Vietnam. At that very moment, the innocence of youth is stripped away forever, replaced with the life-and-death struggle of instantaneous manhood. Amid the magenta-colored fog of war, our hero assesses his new predicament, and the dangerous journey ahead of him. He pauses for a moment as the true realization hits him with brutal force β and everything familiar he has known throughout his life disappears on the wind; fading like the whir of rotors from the departing choppers, leaving with their cargo of wounded and fallen comradesβ¦(Honored with a Daily Deviation spot, Sunday, June 4, 2006)

ur so very welcome. I liked it cause it portraits very well (which is dificult) the pain of war, everybody think its all about medals, and defending ur native country. But its not easy to see people, closer or not to u, die. I think nobody should ever see it. But yeah its kind of the world we're living, hope it change someday. But it is still an amazing job, one of my fave in ur gallery till now lots of

it looks like wacome has raised the price of the graphire tablet over the years to $249. but, they've unveiled a new low-price-end product called "bamboo". look into this to see if it will work for painting. runs btw $79-$99.

Very nice job. The contrast between the right and the left really emphasize the mood. They give it a sense...of scope, I suppose.

Love the picture 
The background is good as well, shows the truth behind war that not everyone will realize if they don't think bout it. We're thinking so much about our safety that we don't realize the true hell I soldier might go through.
