Description
This started out with a plain dark violet background. I added the leaves to give it a better composition and more movement, even though the piece is more of a character concept than a finished painting. Let me know what you think.Related content

The leaves really do add magic, along with the golden glowy effect. It gives the impression that he's looking up to see Aslan . . . at least, it gives that impression to me.

The leaves behind really give movement as you say, it's like overwhelming Caspian... It was almost as if he was looking at something magical. Well, it's really a great drawing!

Hey. THanks for the kind reviews. Im glad you like the sketches. Do you work in Photoshop too? I'm still learning all the crazy stuff i can do in it and i think i go overboard sometimes

Yeah, I work with Photoshop, but I'm not as good as you when it comes down to shadows and lights (I'm more into the cartoon type of drawing...easier to draw and colorize)!
I also use a pen tablet, which is heaven when it comes for drawing on a computer!
