I actually started drawing this about a year ago... but I just could not figure out how to finish it, especially the background. I'm still not really pleased with how it turned out, but it's certainly a start to environment painting practice. All I know is that I have a lot to learn still!I hope you like it anyway!

GREAT pose on the girl as she's about to throw the snowball! It has a ton of energy and tension and anticipation to it. You captured an instant as she winds up rather than her actually throwing the ball, but you've communicated so much energy and impending motion in her pose that it's just as exciting, if not more so. I like how far forward the leg touching the ground is leaning as the other leg is pulled back. The arms are stretched out opposite, and all of that makes a big, open pose that is able to show the momentum in energy she's putting into her through. Her hair, her scarf, and the dangly ends of her hat are all being tossed around, too, carrying the energy through, and I like the mischievous and determined look on her face!
And it feels even stronger because the res of the scene is so calm. The background is soft and serene, and her target is walking with a laid back energy to him, a big contrast to her kinetic windup. That juxtaposition and contrast works just as hard as the lineart on the girl herself to communicate the energy and mood behind the pic, to not just show us this image, but to suggest and paint the whole scene of what's coming next in our mind.
Love the coloring, again! You're doing awesome things with lighting and shading to flesh out the setting, the mood and feel of the pic, and to illustrate different textures and volumes. The way you color his jacket helps to communicate the kinda poofy feel of his coat, for example, and I love how your coloring gives that lifelike texture to everything in the pic.
