This reminds me of an acronym we use at work (I work for a Steiner college that caters for young adults with special needs and behavioural difficulties); FINE - Failure In Naming Emotion.

For me, this is all about learning to contain your emotions. To be able not to identify yourself with feelings and emotions, but to find the observing self which is allways there and which is a neutral point. The place inside yourself where you're allways OKAY no matter what happens around or inside your body! :-D

No - had to look it up - and it seems to me to have lots of similarities to mindfulness and that whole movement!?

I'm not really sure. I've never been on it but I've applied for a course but there's a long waiting list. It just reminded me of what you said in the previous comment, that's all. Equanimity.
