Description I have been trying to figure out for the longest time how to paint a tye dye design on my finger nails, but using paint never occurred to me until I got paint for my birthday, so I painted it on my toes against my instincts, because I know that as soon as I put on my ballroom shoes, it'll get rubbed right off, but seeing as how we don't have class this week, at least it'll look good until Saturday.
But for the time being, I am pleased with it.

~~~ I would like any foot people out there to refrain from commenting on my feet, please. It's uncomfortable to me, as I see no beauty in them. And my feet are not the art subject, merely the host, the nail polish design is the art. You can comment on the nail polish design, but not my feet, please. I put this paragraph up because I have had some people asking me for pictures of my feet, and it's starting to bother me, as well, my feet have become the focus of the picture, when that's not the art. These comments asking for more pictures of my feet make my dad angry, and me uncomfortable. My dad has threatened to make me leave DeviantArt if this keeps up, and I for one, will not stand for it, so please respect my wishes so I can stay on DA, and enjoy it.~~~
I have never seen a nail art like this! I like it a lot
I read that you used craft paint!? Does it last as long as regular polish or did it chip off faster?
Oh, it chips a lot faster if you don't seal it well! I use clear nail polish to seal it, but it still tend to chip really easily if you miss even the smallest spot.
See now...
You're amazing because if I did this, the paint would have ran all over everything.
It looked as if you've done everything with perfect timing and patience.
I don't even paint my nails because of my tragic luck with polish.
My little secret about this look: It's not nail polish! Haha, it's regular craft paint. Acrylic. And I did it with a tiny paintbrush. You could do this too, whether you have tragic luck with nail polish or not. You don't have to deal with polish.
Haha, eh, I don't know that I started one, but with those nail polish strips that you can put on your nails, it will get popular. I have already seen the tye dye designs for sale.
But my version is cheaper.
Best thing about using craft paint to paint your nails? just use a clear nail polish on your nails before you paint them, and then some clear nail polish on top to seal it, and it will last almost as long as regular nail polish, and comes off like regular polish... BUT. If you mess up while you are painting the design on your nails, the acrylic paint washes off with water.
TOES THAT ARE TYE DYE! I LOVE THEM. That must've been so tedious to do! I wanna try this, definitely. C:
*laughs* Yes! Tye-dye! They weren't hard at all, slightly tedious, but really easy. Go for it! I used paint and just got t thin brush and painted on the streaks.
Well if you have craft paint lying around the house, you can use that too. All you need is a topcoat/base coat, and you're good to go!
