It's been yonks since I've done a proper painting (this has been sitting on my hard drive since like March lol) and since I've been working on Hungry Whispers , I've been working on this piece on and off.

Actually screw it, this is my first proper painting because I don't think there's anything to this time/effort in my gallery so yeh XD.

I find that I have loads of great concept art pieces in my sketchbook but that's about it. So here be "Convergence", great character concept yet everything else needs work! More life drawing, more practise, more technique more everything. Oh and more on finishing pieces. You have too many unfinished stuff on your hard drive, drawing/painting/everything else experience points will come in due time with each new upload. There are no short cuts so just do it. /self rant at thy self.

I also found that I love symbology in pictures, they're awesome and adds so much depth to it. Out of curiosity I googled the meaning of lotus flowers.

Lotus flowers: Estranged love, forgetful of the past and in Buddhist symbology: representing purity and enlightenment.

Well there you have it - I didn't think it also symbolises estrange love and being forgetful of the past. Since the story for this character revolves a around the concept of manipulating fate (by the red lines) he is trapped by his own ability even though he can control it.

Errm stuff relating to reincarnation and how you can't escape your own, the symbology of the lotus flowers are strangely fitting for this character too (he suffers from amnesia because he killed a love one). Guess the red strings are also symbolic of that.

I might come back later to update this comments, I can't think at the moment due to lack of sleep ;_;.

Anyway, sad character is sad! Enjoy!
