A while ago, a friend and I were discussing Esotericism and I came up with cards. First energy cards, but then my mind began to wander towards tarot and from that to Undertale… well and we began discussing which character would fit best for which Tarot card.

Now, this happened a week ago, before Toby actually posted his own deck on fangamer, so I had no idea someone had given it some thought already.

From what we can see so far it looks like the card XI - Justice - is going to be Undyne.
In my deck Sans represents that card. Originally I had him represent card XX - Judgement -, but upon further discussion, my friend and I decided Justice was a better fit. Same with the other characters shown so far.

I'm not sure if I'll draw all of them as well, but just a few, where we thought a different card made more sense.

So for my take on the tarot card - granted not as colorful but I was going with an old look - here's what we came up with for Sans, being Justice:

JUSTICE:

Justice urges you to examine your past, and how the actions of your past have brought you to your present. In doing this, you realize how what you do right now will influence who you become in the future. You must accept that your present situation is one you helped create. In doing so, you can cut through the illusion of events to the wisdom you should be gaining from them. You can then begin to consciously take action to manifest better situations in your future. The Justice card often appears to signal that people are getting what they deserve. If the situation in question has legal ramifications, it can indicate a fair trial, a settlement, or winning in any general legal battle...the honest side will triumph.

So with this in mind, it made more sense to us to give Sans the card for Justice, but don't worry we found a fit for Undyne too.
