Description
Official first image of 2012. Worked on and off on this for about a year, between other projects and commissions. The clouds were based on a photograph I took two years ago.Enjoy.

Great feeling of authenticity to this one - they look like genuine animals! The lighting is wonderfully done, and I can almost smell the skin of the dragons. Well done, well done.

Gorgeous sky landscape, those clouds look absolutely fantastic, and because of their photo realism they make the inhabitants of this piece look like they really could exist! I know you probably know damn well how good you are at drawing dragons, dragon anatomy and fantasy-creatures, but I thought I'd remind you just how well you do it - and I say that as someone who just admires your work, not as a dragon fanbum :P

I love this blend of photo and hand drawn I tried it myself but ( ... Must ....not ...make arrow to the knee joke Gah!) you have had far more success than I did.

This is awesome work, all around! The color and shading on the clouds is wonderfully realistic - it looks like that near-perfect time either just after dawn or just before full sunset.
The dragons' design is also superb. I really like the shape of the wings and tail fins, and the subtle design on the membranes.
