Description
This is a model by Games Workshop from their tabletop wargame Warhammer 40,000.When GW released this awesome model (it came in a boxed set with a squad of honour guard), I just knew I had to get it! However, it took me a really long time to save up the cash to get it as this was one of the more expensive boxed sets by GW.
He originally did not have a helmet. But as I have this obsession of having all my space marines wear helmets, I HAD to replaced his head with a suitable helmet from my spare parts!
Painted by me in a stretch of several days (4 days I think...). The photography kinda sucks though... -_-'

I know how you feel about the helmet thing. The main reason I don't use many helmetless heads is cause I think the highlighting on faces is a bitch. Really good job.

Yeah... I hate painting faces! (I suck at it...) There is actually another reason why my SM forces are all helmeted. The Imperial Space Marines are revered as demi-gods by the masses of humanity in the 40K universe. I think that having them all helmeted enhances the 'inhuman, faceless guardians of Mankind' feel.

Why on Earth would you replace Marneus Calgars head with a crappy helmet? For this I must say you have ruined it.(It now sucks)

It looks good, I change my chaos oblitorators to have helmets instead of the stupid mini heads they where meant to have because I thought they looked bad, anyways, I think all bosses, lords etc should have a sword or a weapon in a hand, a choice of twin power fists for your character puzzles me, why did you choose this instead of a gun or a beardy sword?

Well, the model is a special character. he's supposed to be armed with dual powerfists with built-in bolters.

I think the helmet makes the model look better than the original. The only thing that bothers me about Marneus Calgar is that those power fists used to belong to a Chaos champion. It doesn't make sense!

my only suggestion, try and get some more detailed pics of these characters! The pixeled effect doesn't do your work justice

This one's quite nice, especially the cloak, but I believe I have seen the original in camp before... at about the time that "sparky" was being made.
Helmets are important. It prevents you from getting your brains blown out by a sniper.
