I realize that there's no way on earth that Karin could kill Itachi. Really. Unless she has some Mary-Sue-ish hidden superpowerful bloodline limit, it's just not happening.I figured that the only Valentine's Day gift Sasuke would appreciate from anyone of either gender was Itachi's dead body. He might feel some frustation and emasculation that it was battle-useless Karin who killed Itachi, and that he was not able to directly obtain vengeance, but hey, it's over and done with.

I do wish I'd had Karin deliver Itachi while he was still alive, now that you mention it. Sasuke would have been much more appreciative.
