I really enjoy what you did with the colors. They caught my eye.
I also think the picture is pretty dynamic overall.

Looks great! The shading looks awesome! Especially on Charmeleon, I actually wonder... Where the hell do you get this ideas from?! But to be honest, I think the flame on Charmeleon's tail looks kinda weird... I like it though!

DU-HU-HUDE. That is INSANE. When I saw the thumbnail in my inbox, my jaw dropped. Or it would have, had it not been firmly pressed against the base of my neck anyway, but you get the picture. The colours are amazing. I mean, you actually managed to use GREEN, a BRIGHT GREEN, to shade a red pokemon. Which is mostly purple anyway! Not everybody can do that. I'd have trouble with it. How's you choose the colours? (yes, I know, layer settings, but it had to start somewhere.)
The only negative things I'd mention would be the lines; there's sketchy, and there's clean, you probably don't want to be in the no-man's-land in between them. After that, just watch how their feet hit the ground; charmeleon looks a tad floaty. But still, WOW. Impressed, much!

Lol, I know it's insane, right? I think I drank too much fizzy pop before I drew it. *belch*
I couldn't really say where the colours came from to be honest, because I don't really know myself. But as I said, the green was made by accident when the blue overlapped yellow, so I left that part in and added a bit more for consistency. I didn't really use that many colours either. As I said, to shade/highlight Charmeleon, I just added the complimentary blue-green over the red (for both the shadow AND highlights, in seperate layers), then I just edited the layer settings, like, putting the shadow on Multiply made an actual proper shadow as opposed to the original bluegreen mess (after editing it a bit more). So technically I only really used two colours for each PokΓ©mon; I made the rest by altering how the layers interacted with each other.
I'm not too fond of the lighting, like in the background. It's still something I need to work on.
And yeah, the lines are a bit dodgy. I wanted them to be fairly "energetic" lines, but some bits just look "fluffy". It's also a bit sketchy, because I'm used to making really imprecise sketch drawings, and if I try and go over them with a "definate" line, it looks odd because I can't follow the "right" lines. Originally I tried to ink over it in GIMP but it just looked horribly drawn...by being a bit sketchy I could follow multiple draft lines at once
Thanks though lol, I thought I'd never get this picture done, I had it sketched for nearly a week and it only took me the day to colour it
