Damn, I keep forgetting how difficult it is to draw birds. They are not fun. Tried a slightly different technique on this one. I was reading a tutorial of ~ursulav 's which suggested not using the smudge tool, so I tried it. It was actually really fun. Parts of this are kind of sloppy, though, since this is slightly different from my regular colouring and I sort of rushed to finish it. I think it would have looked better with a thinner, cleaner outline, but I was lazy so I just used the pencil sketch as lineart instead of inking it
. Crits are appreciated. I'd really like to improve on my CGing. The green was soooo fun

This is very beautiful-- it looks much more crisp and nicely shaded than if you use the smudge tool.
