just finished my paintings for the monster manual... and I was pulling an all nighter, so... to keep busy I started sketching... four hours, I think. Lots of experimentation. Sometimes... I just wonder about my noggin...Related content

I've had to come back to devart a number of times over the past couple years just to look for this piece again, and sometimes to share it with friends. It's still one of my favorite conceptual pieces and almost certainly the most memorable. For me, it originally stirred up feelings of something macabre about beauty and vice versa, but it's the kind of deep meaning that adapts well to new experiences and doesn't lend itself to words. Just like the first time I saw this, it still strikes a big chord. It may be "just a sketch", but it really does something for me.
