One of my earlier cards for Magic. I remember really struggling with the lighting and scale. It's funny looking back at this, and comparing it to the cards I do now. Shit has definitely changed. I wonder if they are better though?Follow me here, please! www.facebook.com/izzypants

I had a bit of difficulty making out what's going on here. At first I thought she was wearing some kind of armour before I realized she was a sphinx.

This gives me nostalgic feelings of reading classic science fiction, like Orson Scott Card's Robota and Frank Herbert's works. Great job!

Still easily one of my favorite pieces of art, and actually one of my favorite cards in all of MTG, when you play Sharuum in a good deck you feel like your opponents are those little tiny guys, begging you to spare them!

Maybe older, but still one of my favs. I made decks specifically around this and other Sphinx cards just for the artwork. I really, really like this piece. Great work. Tbh, I'm surprised you're just now uploading this one. I thought at first someone was claiming your work as their own

I remember a lot of your art from the cards. You were one of the artists that have always stood out for me. Your name is also easy to remember, because you always saw "Izzy" at the bottom of the card 
I think you can pose the question "I wonder if they are better though?", but I don't think you can answer it. The only thing you can safely say is better or worse is technique. If someone was not able to make clear lines and they came out blurred or wanted nice shadows or lightning on cloth, but wasn't able to do it - then you can say they got better if they are able to do it.
But if you look at the artwork as a whole and the emotion it creates in the audience, when you change your technique and/or style, you will always create a different impact on your audience. Different people like different styles. You will never know if it's better, but I must say that going through your gallery and MtG work, I love it all

Whoaaaa !! She looks amazing ! And freaky. Though for a creature that regal, I feel the tail lacks ... volume or presence. If that makes sense.
