Description My drawing skills have improved a bit since the last time I drew Belldandy, so I wanted to give her another shot She's one of my fav characters, after all.
Comments and critique are very much encouraged!

Edit: Thanks so much to for your suggestion! I went and fixed her nose, and I re-did her mouth and right eye while I was at it. I like it a lot better now

Eek! I was wrong! Do not leave the tip of the nose in place, it is in fact the main problem. I've drawn up a diagram to show what the problem is. First of all I drew a 3D reference plane over the front of the face, taking the depth and height of the 2 eyebrows and a point 1cm below the center of the upper lip as the minimal 3 points required to define a plane in space.

When you use the plane that I've drawn for reference, the underside of the nose begins at a point a tad deeper than the center of the upper lip, but in your case this point is located less deep than the center of the upper lip relative to the plane I drew.

So my advice comes down to this: Move the tip of the nose a tad to the right (corresponding to deeper relative to the plane) I hope that will make it look better... I can't tell that in advance because I'm not an artist but an industrial designer.

I put the diagram in my scraps section:

Please let me know when you've seen it so I can take it down. It's a breach of the DA TOS from my side to have it there.

No problem. I've destroyed the analysis diagram and rid myself of all proof of TOS violation. Clean, efficient, fast, deadly.

I've overlaid version 1 and 2 and noticed you've improved the drawing a lot. The upper lip looks fairly normal now and you somehow turned her expression from something a bit hard to identify into a gentle smile. The slope of the nose near the tip remains a bit extreme but is no longer outside the range of human anatomical variation. To retain some link with the cute minute anime noses it may be unavoidable. You also made the inner side of the right eye look better by moving a bit of its arc inward, this is consistent with the fact that the eyelid lies on a spherical surface. It's a great update.

Overall: It's a very beautiful piece of art and I find it pleasant to look at. It definitly deserves a +fav.

I think I can help only a little bit, as your drawing is nearly at the limits of my knowledge of drawing.

Balldandy's nose flattens too fast when you go from the tip and up to the forehead. In other words, you should decrease the slope of the contour line running from the tip of her nose while leaving the place of her nose tip in place.

I have to compliment you for making her eyes look very natural, the shape is flawless.

~8.5/10~

Very nice! I like the realistic approach on Belldandy, I can't really think of any criticism for this piece. Good job!
