The style relates to Art Nouveau and it is wonderful on how everything was place together. I liked the dynamic movement of her heir as she is playing the double bass. The fabric coming a little shy of crossing the border and it is not helping. perhaps, you should have it: leave the image, trapped in the border or cropped at the border. Also I am not sure about the red and violet colors on the dress at the bottom. To me it seemed like a good risk in order to help her seem more life like but at the end a little off color.
For the most part you stayed faithful to the image you used as a reference and at the same time applied the Art Nouveau style to the image. The flowers also help in making it an new work rather than a duplication.
Your attention to details is excellent. You have a good sense proportions. In Addition, you did fine job at depicting the creases and wrinkles on the figures dress. I also liked the texture on the double bass. You also left some light values as lines on the edges of the creases and wrinkles which is a nice touch.
For the most part it is a very beautiful work; however, what made it loose some impact is the colors are not bright and contrast enoff. Her hair blinds in to much with the flowers. Also as much as I like the teture you can make them less extreem. Her dress can also be a little brighter. Something to help seperate her from the envionment. She is the subject matter so she should stand out more than the flowers.

You've commented exactly the elements I needed input on. I've thought that the colors in the overall look were off, but everyone I asked didn't see the problem and claimed that the picture is perfect. =.= But then again, they don't deal with art on a regular basis and anything better than a stick-figure is perfect for them.

I really like the colours here and the atmosphere. The cello is a nice touch too. The textures are maybe a bit too much or a bit too strong. Anyhow really beautiful piece with lots of nice details.

Heh, happens sometimes, I notice similar drawings pretty often, which just proves that everything has been done before.
In this case, when the pose is kinda essential with this kind of instrument, it is easier to find similarities.

It's basicly what creativity works: take something from here, a bit from there, add your heart and show how it all is seen through your eyes, and voila! We have something not entirely original, but undoubtedly unique.

Szczerze mówiąc nie byłam pewna, czy to naprawdę dobrze razem wygląda, czy nie za duży kontrast... Do tego Art Nouveau preferuje raczej ciepłe kolory, a ja wyskoczyłam z tym niebieskim... No ale jak jest dobrze to bardzo się cieszę.
