Digital painting that I produced over a sketch, within a time limit of some 6 hours and under severe anxiety. Yet I'm quite satisfied with the resultThis is a redesign of UALN-03 Q'UQ'UMATZ (named after the eponymous k'iché mayan god, whose name means Feathered Serpent. Possibly the same figure known by other Mayan peoples as Kukulcan, and by the nahuatl speaking peoples like the Mexica as Quetzalcoatl), a mech (or giant robot if you prefer) which I've designed years ago as part of my story project - now titled IXIPTLA.
In this story, this mech was developed by a Chinese corporation for the Chinese state, but was seized and hacked by a group of anarchism-oriented, international vigilantes informally called " NECOC YAOTL" ("enemy of both sides" in nahuatl), who later used it to eliminate certain politicians, destroy certain corporations, cities and ultimately engage in a little more fair fight against the repressive forces of the States across the world. This, in specific, is piloted by the nonhuman, super-fast lizardman CUETZPALIN PAYNAL.
