This is six of eight creature/character that will be used later as a master reference for a series of compositions depicting scenes from the story ”The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath’ by H.P. Lovecraft. Not only is this the main project for my independent art study class but also has the intention that these could possibly be used for either the video game or movie industry.

Pretty easy did the organs first then painted a light opacity over with reflected highlights.

Woo! Certainly the best Moonbeasts I've ever seen - fantastic. The lighting and texture are just great - they look unpleasantly cold, clammy, oily - greasy even. Film-like around their "foot", more solid up their trunk but through all those wriggly curves coming across as disgustingly invertebrate. It's very easy to imagine these chaps "rippling" as they move.
