A new one-story-per-page comic I'm doing called: "What Ramen Tastes Like"based not on generalizations, but personal experiences and other things like that
This one here is based on two true stories.
LOL imagine going to school where not only uniforms are mandatory, but hair length is regulated...
and then moving and going to a performing arts highschool where guys are allowed to grow their hair out and girls shave their heads.
XD It was nuts. But I got used to it :3
and also how a friend of mine who had worn the "typical azn girl haircut" nearly all her life suddenly let one of her friends braid her hair into the said style...and scared her parents when she came home from school.

I can relate with this quite well...my grandparents had a huge shock when they moved to Canada. They came back home here in the Philippines.

I love how you can tell which girls ae which in the preschool photoa and the photo with the little bunnies. I also love how you portray emotion, it's sooooo believable, like the parents shock andthe girl's ,"don't freak out, don't freak out" expression. It must've taken a whike to get used to.

Hehe! I go to a shool like that but I HAVE to wear uniform and all of a sudden they are going NUTS with it! We can't have ANYTHING not our schools colors, boots, and now they are gong crazy screaming at all the guys in our school to cut their hair. (NOOO SOME GUYS WON'T LOOK CUTE WITH SHORT HAIR!!! *cries*)

Hahahaha!! That reminds me of a few weeks back when my friend got a really short haircut -- her mom freaked out so much and I couldn't believe it. But then again her mom is really strict like that. XD However, my mom didn't freak out that much when I let my friend cut my hair and then got a nose piercing. Oh well, it sure would've been hilarious though. Anyways, I loved this and I can't wait for the next, if there is one.^^

hahaha, I remember going to school in the Phillipines where everything was so strictly regulated, and even the teachers had to wear uniforms XD But hey, Asia is Asia.
lol, today a friend and I were talking about stereotypicalizations of Asians and how they're supposed to be all "smart" and how they have to draw good and whatnot...and when I tell them that's not necessarily true they just sorta stare at me and I go "IT's TWOO!! You expect me to be PERFECT all my life?!?!"

LOl I didn't mind the uniforms all too much, since I had no fashion sense whatsoever, and just puttin the darn thing on was such an easy dress decision to make in the mornings. X3 What I didn't like was when we'd get reprimanded by teachers and stuff if we didn't tuck our shirts in, they'd make us go up front and 'fix it for us' in front of EVERYBODY (aka like a mild form of public humiliation and/or groping 
LOLZ yeah them dern stereotypes, not that I blame them since most of them are true, but it's understandable since most asian kids I know kinda like to "share" their omg good grades in front of everyone, whether nobody wants to hear it or not

My old school had a uniform. I have no popular fashion sense really--but to make up for it Ihave my own fashion sense that is all my own.
My old school's uniform I used to hate. I'm still glad that now I'm in a public school with FREEDOM!!!
