Sketchdump compiled.I had a lag period in April.
But there were some drawings I really liked from March. Started picking it up again in May.
- Pages 1-4 are sketches from the "Sifu Toph" idea I've had.
After the war, after hauling ass by herself, Adult!Toph takes it upon herself to teach other disabled, orphaned, bullied and abandoned children in the various earth kingdom villages, teaching them to hone their skills to compensate for their disabilities, and to basically kick some major butt. So Sifu Toph goes and starts "The School of ROCK" (j/k lol not real name) *shot for bad pun*
But yeah I had some fun with these character designs and backstories for OC's.
Re-did design idea for Older!Toph. Because the last time I drew her it now feels like a pile of fail. : o
Drawing Toph is actually fun, but I didn't do a lot of it before because others pressing me to draw her, didn't really motivate me to do so. Until I had some ideas of my own. : )

Nice stuff! I like the girl with two peg legs. It's so rare in fiction to see a female who has been permanently maimed like that.
You're right--this design for adult Toph is much better than your first one. That one was too...girly? Dainty? Something like that. I always picture her as a short, stocky woman with a lot of lean muscle.
When "The Avatar and the Firelord" aired, one of the first things I noticed was that teenaged Roku looked almost identical to your earlier interpretation. Mad props to you for being able to age and de-age characters so competently!

Those kids(all of 'em!) are so adorable~ It still makes me laugh to think that you were spot on with your version of younger Roku.
And older Toph's design is just gorgeous.

Nice color and shadow, although you need to make a little more differentiation of the black and lighter color in Toph's hair. Other than that, I think page 2 is the best. The characters have ranging personalities that are obvious by their facial expressions and postures, especially deerleg!girl.

thnks, yeah now that I think about it, the color differentiation looks indiscernible when I look at it from a standard monitor. Meaning the monitor I used to color this on is so bright it could probably blind someone. : s
Lol "deerleg!girl" is straight-up arrogant in class because of her major pwning skills, but getting pwnt herself by Sifu Toph outa teach her a lesson.

I faved this because Toph is my favorite character, and I can see this happening and I think it's AWESOME. I wish you wrote for this show I really do. I also wish it had more seasons but, something new is coming from those geniuses right?
I love that two peg leg girl. Also, this is the first Adult!Toph that didn't make me want to vomit. (not really it's just the only one that I like at all)

I was deeply touched by the little aside from your personal travels. I know a lot about the pain from what may have happened. I hope you can overcome that big disappointment. It hurts, but it would be sad if you let it cripple you like it did for me once.

who are these disabled kids and that are thier disabilities? I see a blind kid who looks like he had acid or fire thrown in his face, the girl with the two peg legs, but what about the other kids?

Ah, some of them are disabled, some aren't and just go to get earthbending/self-defense lessons.
I'm planning that
The two twins on page 2 are deaf (they work together as a team to feel earth vibrations for bending,
the tiny child was abandoned in the wilderness as a toddler (was raised by wild animals yet has extra-ordinary earthbending for her age),
the shy, thin girl on page 1 is becoming blind due to a sickness and has to learn how to adjust to this situation.
Hoping I can finish up backstories for the others.
