Yeah...he doesn't HAVE to be a prick....But he chooses to be one.basically a fancomic of Young!Paku turning into the sour old guy we know and love. X3
I don't blame him though...and as sexist as he was/is, I don't think he'd like it if other guys were calling his woman a "squaw".
BTW: "squaw" is considered as an insulting term in some cultures.

I'm sure this isn't a unique sentiment, but I have doubts that Gran-gran ditched Pakku becasue she didn't want to marry him. Sure I can see her wanting to get out of misogyny-ville, but then she not only keeps his betrothal necklace but passes it down as a familly heirloom? Not the kind of thing you'd do to a guy you'd rather forget.
BTW: I've only seen what's come out on DVD so far (season 1) If this has been addressed later in the series, I know nothing of it.
