Okay, I know young inventor characters are far from original, but I really liked the way this character turned out. He is the son of Dennis and Betty(yep, Dennis does end up marrying his Highschool crush. ) Rupert is a character in my 80s segment.
He's always trying to invent something useful, and goes to the junkyard a lot to look for parts. He mostly takes parts from old cars, and is usually covered in car oil and grease. Sometimes people will mention how he smells like gasoline. He doesn't mind getting gritty and dirty, and is not your typical, clean cut nerd.
I mostly got inspiration from the Doc in Back To The Future. He also reminded me of Gadget from the Chip and Dale series, and Numbah 2 from Codename Kids Next Door. Oh yeah, can't forget about Dexter, Jimmy Neutron and Double D. Man, there really are many inventor characters already, but oh well, hope you all like this character anyway.
