Mainly just David Levinthal. I did a mini project based on his figurine images last year at uni ( [link] [link] ) and really enjoyed it, so I decided I wanted to take it a bit further. I came up with this idea after watching Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. It's based on the idea that in modern culture gaming characters are sometimes offered as much of an idol status as some real life individuals, and the gaming culture at the moment is as big as it ever has been. I wanted to take the models of some of the better known game characters and bring them to life in a 3-D 'real' world. This is just the start of something a bit bigger, I am planning dioramas (like the models in the linked images) and creating scenes for each character to 'come alive' in. I'm quite excited about it, I just hope it turns out as well as I envisage it. The tutors were very appraising of my modelling and studio skills so fingers crossed.

Sounds good, you seem to know what your doing with it anyway. I'm glad you said Levinthal cause I was gonna suggest him otherwise. I did a project based on his work in college, more on the seductive doll side of things though.

noo haha they are really bad, I used to have them in my gallery and I look back now and think what the hell was I think, it was like just over 4 years ago, the ideas were good the photography was quite bad
