Did you build the background? Doesn't look like the official Lego Death Star, though it serves it's purpose better this way. Again with the great lighting, and again with the poses and perspective that says it all.
My only tip is that you do more of these--and do them in higher res's.
That'd be cool, because these would make some killa wallpapers.

By the looks of it, these masterpieces take a heck of a lot of time, then, don't they?

Quite a bit yeah, getting the lighting right is the hardest thing, especially with 'Escape from the Death Star'.
