very intense piece. His eyes are amazing. and what a nose! heh I'm looking it at every other angle and i see a smirk or a pout; it's subtle and enigmatic. I hope he's not crying

Thank you very much. I could not make up my mind on what emotion he was experiencing, so your observation is correct, it was a toss up between anguish and dissatisfaction.

Thank you, it is about 8" from the top of his head to the neck. Yeah the piece does not work unless you can see all the layers of color.

I love it! Watercolours elude me - I find them desperately difficult to work with. You don't seem to have that problem.
