Description One of a series of illustrations created for the ELP software Carry-A-Tune, a nifty little piece of prgramming that teaches you to sing by showing you your voice on a pitch tracking line... it actually allows you to visually observe your voice in comparison to "perfect pitch" and adjust your singing in real time. Pretty cool program, if singing is your thing.

Anyhow, HTF Studios did all the visual design for the software, everything from the interface to a short animated work which leads into it and the tutorials that teach you as you go. This is one of the promo images for the secondary characters in the "plotline".

Totally drawn, inked, colored by me. This is about 2 years old now, I think, so the coloring is a bit primitive, plus I was very much going for an "animated" style to keep with the material in the software... but I like it.

I'd love to say yes, but it's work done for a client, and as such it's not for me to give permission for anyone else to use it. Thank you very much for asking first, though.

The characters in this are pretty charming. I just got done watching Spirited Away, and was amazed by the cute little moments that the seemingly secondary characters had. Just classic little moments, what I think Disney once might have had. The designs here really give me that same sense of innocent appeal. Even if this piece is a few years old, it seems pretty solid in all respects. Coolness.

Thanks! I think you're out of your mind, comparing me to Miyazaki or the best of Disney, but thanks just the same!

Busted!! >_<

Yeah, this is from before I became all obsessed with detailed designs. Even so, this was one of those cases where I drew everything but the most important part until the very end, and then realized it didn't work right. I ended up leaving off the strings because the pegs don't line up on the head and the neck is too thin (and tapers, I think). But it's not much of a guitar without strings, right?

Mea maxima culpa...

I personally love this style! The coloring looks great (love all the shines ^^). The way the guitarist's hair is, you can almost see him moving...if that makes sense.
