(Minor hobby she thinks is a job)
Metal Enthusiast - Hikaru loves to seek out and study new metals to further her own magic. She's always been a rather curious girl, and each new world brings a slew of new metals for her to find and manipulate!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Creature: (1/2)Werewolf/(1/2) human

The legends of werewolves run far and wide - Nightblessed, Moontouched, Feral Spirits... They have many names but on Hikaru's home world, they had many different types of werewolves that have specific types native to specific regions; all of which have an unassuming human form as well. Her particular type is that of a Glassheart Werewolf - a sleek, silver-furred beast with light blue highlights standing at around 6'5" in werewolf form. She looks like that of a large, clawed humanoid with fur, ears, and a tail in this form, and can better control her muttle (metal manipulation) magic. Her werewolf form grants her immunity to poison while in that form due to Glassheart's proximity to a noxious poison jungle that surrounds its base. While werewolves look imposing, the downside to this form is its lack of ability to attack as effectively - it's more defensive based. Hikaru takes less damage.. and deals less damage in this form.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Dimension: Sayfnat Pike - World of magic (Based on Freaking-Rainbow 's lovely d20 homebrew game)

Hikaru's home world has a lot of variety to its terrain, towns, people, and governments that rule them, but it is a world filled with magic and religious ideas. Kingdoms of all sorts exist - councils, patriarchies, matriarchies, anarchies, or theocracies. All of which clash because of different ideals. People here control a great variety of magics that people like to mix and mesh into both fighting styles, and pure casting to keep the unsteady peace that the world exists within. Magic runs very deep in this world, but primarily, the people who have the most power are those with strong magical family history. This makes for a world hanging in the balance between the balance of power from magic and the faithful, as well as people who rebel against both of those. Slowly, the world is turning toward a new age of destruction where once again the green fields and mountains may be torn apart by magical wars, fervent fighters, or even the very gods themselves. Magic in this world often mixes in unpredictable ways and, at times, causes tears in reality, explosions of severe magnitude, or fluctuations in time. Magic literally permeates this world; when used without proper control, almost anything can happen.

The main nations that hold the most power are the richest, and Glassheart is among them.

Glassheart

Hikaru's multicultural home. The grand city is fashioned out of unbreakable glass sits atop a stormy mountain, slowly ticking the day away on grand, glass and metal made clockworks. The city itself rotates to allow for certain shops to be more readily available at the busiest times of day. The buildings are not very tall, but are lavish looking with carefully preened lawns that have water resistant plants, water channeling architecture to keep the rain from pooling in the wrong places, and usually some sort of shiny, gaudy lawn ornament to denote family status. It's an extremely wealthy queendom in one city where the guards are never seen but always watch, and the queen herself never leaves her castle. Many people call the city the 'North Star' because it shimmers even at night due to lightning flashing over glass fashioned roofs. Real Estate is extremely expensive in this city. At the base of the city there lies a noxious jungle filled with poisonous plants and creatures that the mountain was said to have grown up from in ancient times, serving as the royal family's hunting grounds until perhaps five hundred years prior when they acquired... finer... tastes. Royal Werewolves are secretive trainers now - they keep mostly to themselves due to their abilities being both uncommon and sought after. It's not uncommon for the members of the family to be 'surprised' with a sudden transformation on their seventeenth year's first full moon. Royal parents don't even tell their children what they are until they have to control their form.

*Personality:

Hikaru is a kind hearted people lover. She's a social person who adores talking with others, learning new things, and puzzling through mysteries presented to her. Despite how calm she is, she's a little too brave when it comes to challenging situations, and generally adopts a 'leap before you look' attitude if there's no one near her capable of getting her attention. Because she's so people oriented, she often worries about other people before herself, and she likes to shoulder immense burdens with a smile and little indication of her own stress before its too late. She'd never refuse to help anyone despite how much weight she carries with her.

It could be called an obsession because she prioritizes helping people around her so much, or just foolhardiness of trusting too easily. With hope on her side, she likes to inspire who she can, and try to understand everything in front of her (Though often without success). She harbors an innate nervousness about losing allies or leading people, and she's very picky about having good quality food. Ever the tease, Hikaru likes to joke around when she gets comfortable, though she tends to avoid arguments... or even heated discussions even among friends. She becomes reclusive and withdrawn in these situations, and will usually physically break something (Person or not) if she feels cornered into a fight. When it suits her, she does manipulate the truth, especially if she believes it will help the greater 'good' or protect someone.

+ People oriented, cheerful, brave, heroic, calm

+-trusting, teasing, curious, talkative, daredevil,

- naive, thanatophobia, picky with food, fears being a leader, hides stress, manipulative

*History:

Sayfnat Pike was always the world on the edge of a blade. It was torn apart by wars, sundered or hidden by the grand Windwall that kept most countries off of the map for thousands of years, or resting in an uneasy peace that lay between natural disasters, and those caused by man or deity. The habit of the world to teeter toward some sort of disaster happened to fall in Hikaru's early lifespan. Born of a Werewolf mother and a human father between the leaders of two different, opposing countries, Hikaru's own life was one that was in near turmoil from the beginning. Her mother was the Queen of Glassheart, full blooded Glassheart Werewolf and a master of muttle magic - their family inherited magic to manipulate metals. Her father was otherwise unknown to her until she later found this part of her life was kept secret because of an agreement between her mother and her real father. Her father was an assassin who managed to infiltrate the castle and sought the queens life, and nearly succeeded in his task. As the queen was cornered and bested, she made a desperate deal with the man - to support his home country financially, and to provide him with an heir for the dwindling country he was king of in exchange for her life. The result was male and female twins - Hikaru and Sallen. With no intention of holding up her end of the deal, the queen secreted Sallen away to guarantee her own safety... and only reported having one girl to the assassin king. Hikaru was raised by her aunt away from the political intrigue of her birth. Rather than her actual mother, she was kept sheltered from the public eye not only because she was the heir of Glassheart, but because of her birth circumstances. This was normal for most of her life aside from the occasional muttle magic lesson... at least until the first sign of disaster showed up on the day of her younger sister's first birthday party. The party itself would have gone off without a hitch unless an assassin hadn't infiltrated the castle. He killed Hikaru's step father, but missed his intended mark of Hikaru's mother because Hikaru herself thwarted his attempt to flee. Even so, the assassin succeeded in both killing one of the royal family, and facilitating the kidnapping of Hikaru's younger sister as was planned.

Many things led to her leaving the castle, but the primary problem was that her younger sister had been kidnapped likely because of her mixed royal blood... and the only person unknown enough to go after her within the family was Hikaru. Being a hidden princess had its perks in this way, and Hikaru began prepping for a long journey after asking her mother to spare the assassin's life. He knew something about where her sister was taken - he was useful enough for now. Her mother agreed and assigned the assassin that had infiltrated the party to Hikaru's charge with a magical collar to restrict him from fleeing or hurting Hikaru. It was unclear as to whether she wanted to humiliate the man, or simply give Hikaru a guard to travel with that was otherwise disposable.

------------------------------------------------------------** Leaving Glassheart - Learning of the Outside World **------------------------------------------------------------

Circumstances as they were, Hikaru left the castle, and her home to travel to find her sister with this unknown, rather angry assassin. What she didn't realize was that a what they would be involved in would be no less than a full scale war. With little instruction from her assassin 'guard', Hikaru first sought her little sister all the way south across the ocean and far away from the influence of her home for years. She met many people, inspired many more, and soon found herself with not only friends, but followers. People who wanted her to lead, and it seemed that as a princess, she would never escape that destiny. This was fine for Hikaru at first, since her comrades gradually helped her take this role both by example and suggestion. She was glad to have the support and, in some cases, adoration, while traveling. This was largely because of her habit to help nearly everyone she met, much to the assassin's dismay. She assisted people with everything from locating a lost lover to creating metal-based family heirlooms from scratch when she could. It was one of the few things she felt she just had to do with little to no questions asked - if someone needed help, Hikaru would more than likely go out of her way to satisfy that need. That's what she thought a leader should do, since the heroic story books back at home all seemed to read that way. Nothing was more rewarding than gaining someone's friendship after being without for so long. She found friends, mentors and teachers in the people she befriended, though most of the time she was fascinated with the more magically inclined people she met.

Learning of her own magic, Hikaru learned about different metals, and how to manipulate metals using her inborn ability through the teachings she remembered from home, and a few friends she gained in her travels. She began actively seeking out new metals, and other werewolves to learn about and understand both their abilities and her own. In this way, she met many kinds of people and all with different magics, abilities or forms. She met etchers who could instill certain sets of power in letters into weapons and armor, she met people who could manipulate elemental magics, magics based on the mind or soul, and many more that could fight in devastating ways or even perform teleportation. Things like the etchings paired with other magics often had very unpredictable results, with at least one proven case of accidental time travel, or magical anomalies that tore holes in reality into a painting to make it literally consume people who touched it. In an effort to understand more about the dangers and boons of these runes, she also met people who had runes on their skin - a single rune on the right or left hand that was more powerful than just etchings. Runes like this were something that stopped the bearers aging and granted them some sort of ability that was unlike 'normal' magic.

------------------------------------------------------------** Closer Ties - New Friendships **------------------------------------------------------------

During this time of learning of people and magic, fortune smiled upon Hikaru, and the assassin opened up to her very slowly. They became rather close over time, despite his aversion to magic in general. She learned of combat through him - how to fight with daggers, how to be light on her feet, how to protect herself. Through his lessons, she discovered that he had a rune on his hand, and how he controlled such a thing. He learned from her how to talk to people, how to listen to people speak instead of reaching for combat right off, and how to have friends. She introduced him to many people, and there were a rare few he actually became close to because of it.

One such people she and the assassin became close to had one of these runes - the martyr rune. It was a rune that allowed the bearer to take injuries and physical ailments from someone else onto themselves. It was the ability she forbid her friend from using. Along their travels, she relayed this to him many times, but he would always smile and tell her it was better if it was him, and not someone else. Hikaru vehemently disagreed, and even argued with him on occasion about his ability, reasoning that she did not want to lose him - he had already taken a permanent hip injury and many diseases onto himself; he was nearly a walking corpse, were it not for the rune keeping him alive. She had asked him at one point if he could get rid of the rune, but he instead explained to her that runes don't disappear. They move to the next available host when the bearer dies. Many times, she argued with him about the ability he had; each time, the same smile rebuffed her. It came down to the assassin threatening the man with the martyr rune to get a flimsy guarantee of 'maybe' he would not use the ability.

------------------------------------------------------------** The Final Battle - Sudden Departure **------------------------------------------------------------

By the time she found her sister, an entourage of people were with her, and what she met with was another entourage of people who were hell bent on keeping her away from her baby sister. With little choice, a large scale battle ensued where magic flew around freely and tore apart the land and people fighting alike. Hikaru herself used all of the training she had gotten from the assassin to clash against the ranks of evenly matched fighters all coming at her own force at once. She could only vaguely see the gruesome deaths that the assassin himself was carrying out to her side to protect her. The midst of battle was so heated that the people fighting gradually got to be more destructive - magics collided with explosive results and Hikaru was caught in the blast between two mages. Grievously injured, her comrades stopped to witness their commander and friend only minutes from death near to them. It was at this point that the man with the martyr rune approached her... and wore that same smile.

The injury was transferred, and there before her eyes as she rested in her friend's arms, he knelt over her to tell her to keep going. It was only when the rune appeared on her hand that she understood what had happened, just as the assassin was running to their side. With no time given to try to save him or anyone else on the battlefield, another explosion of unstable magic ripped through the ground near her, but instead of dying as she expected there on the battlefield, white clouded over her vision as magic mixed unpredictably around her, leading to forced teleportation. It felt like the world left from under her, and she was floating for a moment until her eyes opened to red skies above her, and blue grasses around her. She ended up somewhere else entirely different without her comrades and outside of a city she didn't recognize. Hikaru was on a world she didn't recognize with creatures that looked entirely alien to her. Shocked, she looked around for her comrades, for the battle... for anything that looked familiar, only to find nothing. Resolving to search the city, a hint was hunted for - some clue or anything other than this unknown feeling in her gut that nothing was right. She could find no trace or hint of anything else she knew from her home world like Glassheart, or even the name of her world. Frantic, she could only inquire about how she got here, and how to go back as best she could. She was pointed to an old cartographer - the man with many maps to many places. The man spoke of his world, which was definitely not her world at all. She had come here by other means, he told her; Magic, no doubt. She did come to understand from him that there was some magic place near there that could transport people between many places, given that new and very strange people appeared here all the time. Getting an escort from him to this place was a feat of manipulation, but he eventually brought her to a strange docking bay for a long golden train she had never seen before. He explained that this was the World Train... where she might be able to go home from. It took no questions from her nor second thoughts. Thanking him profusely, Hikaru immediately left, and boarded the train in search of her home world.

*Skills:

Muttle Magic - Hikaru is only average at manipulating metal via her magic due to only spotty lessons and limited time to practice during her travels. She can move large (6'x6') plates of metal, but not shape them into anything more than straight or curved if she holds up the entire plate. Metal objects, if they are unenchanted are very light to Hikaru and easily moved or re-shaped. This makes her good at sharpening weapons, reforming broken metal objects, or smoothing out dents and scratches. If an object is magical, the more magical it is, the more difficult it is for Hikaru to manipulate. She can create small whips of metal in a continuous stream for short amounts of time, but the metal is sharp and untamed - it will cut what it comes in contact with. She has to be physically touching the metal most times to manipulate it.

Fighting style - Assassin Daggers - due to her training with the assassin, she is fairly good at fighting with her daggers. She can seriously damage her target with a string of multiple attacks and perform light footed, quick attacks. Her skill level is advanced with her daggers because of the amount of fighting and training she's done in her young life. She trained with a master after all.

Martyr Rune - The rune itself rests on her left hand covered by a glove. It's shaped in a black and white swirling pattern with a single dot in the center. The rune itself allow for Hikaru to transfer an injury from a target onto herself, or if that injury belongs to the target, she can transfer it back so long as they are living. The ability will transfer everything about the injury - damage, effects, and certainly the pain that goes with it. Because she has this rune, she has ceased to age beyond twenty three years of age physically. This does NOT make her immortal - she can obviously get killed by normal means, or if she transfers an injury that is too great for her to handle.

Cooking! - Hikaru loves to cook. She learned that 'cooking for an army' doesn't have to be bland food and made as though it's a massive pot of gruel. She's had help learning from her comrades how to make very tasty food.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Weaknesses:

Overly bright lights - because she lived in a place full of storms where its cloudy every single day, she has to wear her glasses in order to keep the brightness of the sun from hurting her eyes. Overly bright lights are bad for her eyes, especially if she doesn't have her glasses on.

People - She can't help but be a bit too trusting and want to help everyone she meets. She gets close to people fairly quickly, and has a hard time saying 'no' to a request.

Crushing/Pressure based attacks - Hikaru's body is small and rather vulnerable to crushing attacks. Smaller bones break easier.

Extreme temperatures - Hikaru's home climate is mild and rather stable. She does not deal well with extreme temperatures.

Sensory overload situations - Especially in Werewolf form, Hikaru doesn't deal well with especially chaotic situations where there are three or more strongly overpowering things assaulting her senses - very bright lights, extreme shifts in temperatures, extremely strong smells, too many people touching her ect. It reminds her of the battlefield and she tends to simply shut down in those situations.

Tainted metals - Hikaru's magic requires her to touch metal. If there's anything wrong with the metal that would cause problems with her body, she is more susceptible to it automatically.

Snakes - Hikaru's had one too many bad experiences with snakes and being constricted by them...

*RP Sample:

Days like today were fast paced and tiring; there was almost no time to sit down and rest, save for finding paperwork. The sun was up already, breakfast was merrily bubbling away on the stove and already the paperwork was piling up. The blond woman sat at her desk, paper sheets faded to yellowed intermixing with brand new were scattered around on the dark oak surface before her. Amethyst eyes scanned over the spidery scrawlings she had made with her quill, notes about all the different sort of metals she had found so far surfacing slowly.

"mmmmm..." A low hum came from her, her tone tinged with annoyance coupled with impatience. "Where is it.." The light whine of her voice was coupled with her brows furrowing. "I know I have the notes here somewhere...." Reaching her hands forward, she scattered the papers from side to side, thumbing through thin, musty sheets as she looked for a specific keyword among the thin writings. Eventually, the disorganization defeated her, and she slouched over the desk, blond braids draping to either side of her face. This was disappointment in its finest form, Hikaru thought. The one set of notes she needed for fulfilling a specific order for a specific metal was missing. Sitting back, she leaned the desk chair back onto two legs, staring at the ceiling. It took a moment, but she could see clinging to the top of the room and adhered there with a teasing note on it as the sheet she needed. Annoyance briefly creased her lips with a half grimace... that quickly turned to a smile. She found it, sure, but the question was how was she going to get it down without making more of a mess.
