Location: Islamabad, PakistanI watched old man carrying his bundle of firewood for quite some distance. It is a shame that so many people in the Capital city of Pakistan still have to resort to scavenging firewood. I know that in families this job is left to the women or young children, while men go and seek work as daily wage labourers.
I asked him why, and he replied I have no wife or children .. I must gather firewood for the whole week on sundays and on sundays I earn no wage.
