Description This is still used by a blacksmith occassionally showing visitors how essential this job once was... sadly not on the day I was there but else wouldn`t have been able to take the photo though - not a lot of room in there!

my grandfather,father and uncle were all blacksmiths and fariers...

the blacksmith shop was always center of the comunity and a meeting place in the warm..

*quaddie still wants to have a go as he loves metalwork - making big valves in a factory just doesn`t hold the passion of a working forge.
