A picture taken by Willem Oldeman during the Solstice of 2007 in the Netherlands. Willem was so kind to send me some pictures of myself whilst fire dancing, and this one is one of my favourites for sure.Thanks again for making our night-watch an interesting one Willem and Willeke!

Don't worry about it! Confidence comes with time, and it's just as enjoyable as fully, or LED lighted spinning... just missing the sound effects and the heat

ooo oo i like fire poi i do them myself too i find they can be so calming and relaxing (even when drunk) the only problem i have is that my friends just want me to do them all the time at parties and things which is good that they like and enjoy it but after a while can be very tireing lol as im sure you know, great pic, reminds me that i should put some of mine up at some point lol

Fire dancing is so beautiful and has such a deep spiritual meaning to it. I just wish I could find something local, but I'm not sure where to start. Most people I know who do it are halfway across the world or on the other side of the US.

I'm over six feet tall and I've switched to a 4 foot staff just so I can get used to spinning two, so much fun.
