I am a creative and passionate individual who holds a deeper, feral part inside herself. I appreciate art in all its forms. I work in vast and varied mediums and techniques. I am always open for a challenge. My strengths are in various crafts such as making jewelry, pyrography, and sculpting.
I work in traditional and digital mediums. I am always open to commission. If you can dream it, I can find a way to make it a reality.
I also enjoy writing, and have always been an avid roleplayer, mainly using White Wolf's gaming systems and inspiration drawn from the World of Darkness.
In my spare time I wander the wild places of the world. I am inspired by nature in all its forms. I love animals, and share my life with a comical cast of critters. I do a lot of volunteer work in both domestic and wildlife rehabilitation.

I know a lot of people on DA no longer want thanked for watching anotherβs account, but I believe that doing such is a way of someone saying they look forward to pieces you have yet to create; and that is such an inspiration. Each watch tells me someone out there encourages me to keep working on art, even when it becomes difficult. Hi leopardwolf - it's good to find a place to send a little message over to you. I actually found the link to your art work from reading your account on dsycalculia, and i think what you're doing, making your od schools aware of dyscalculia is a wonderful thing. Good for you for developing your creative passions. I'm a student and right now one of my required couses is psychology statistics - it's not even 'real' statistics but i dont get any of it - it scares me so much i'm in denial. My mom even sent me a GCSE level revision guide on statistics, but this is harder stuff than that - unfortunately i dont understand the GCSE material beyond mean, median and mode. 7 yearsof math tutoring has done nothing except pass me through high school. This is the first time I've had to do math since three years ago when I was free to drop it (what I thought was forever). I dont really know what to do, but it's nice to see someone sharing their experience. So thankyou. Have you been able to pursue your passion in working with animals?

I have been right where you are, and it is frustrating and infuriating at times. But do not let that hold you back. Do not let anyone tell you that you cannot. If you dream it and believe it, it can happen.
I had to postpone my college work when Hurricane Katrina rolled around, sadly. Since then I have been trying to get back on my feet and get my life back in order.
I do to this day work with animals, yes. Both my own, and those of others. I have done domestic and wildlife rehab work, and other volunteer work with many different types of exotics. I hope one day when I can breathe easier financially, I can finish my college work
Maybe by then there will be more public awareness of Dyscalculia. Until then, the best thing any of us can do is educate others and make them understand it is a real learning disorder, and just because our brains don't understand abstract numbers, that does not mean we are any less capable than anyone else.

"Thank you" so much the fav. & for helping me identify the hawk in "Bird of Prey" photo as a Cooper's hawk. We have seen her since she 1st learned to fly & started hunting, but had not until now been able to get a good photo of her. I've had lots of suggestions as to what she might be, but none of the others were right.

I took a step away from art for a while because life was a huge stressball, and still is. But since then I've gotten back into jewelry designing, sculpting, and pyrography and leatherwork, among other things.
